Recycled Asphalt

Recycled Asphalt, commonly known as RAP, is a sustainable and cost-effective aggregate produced by crushing and screening reclaimed pavement from road reconstruction projects. This material consists of high-quality stone coated in a layer of bitumen (asphalt cement). Unlike traditional gravel, Recycled Asphalt has unique "re-bonding" characteristics; on hot summer days, the sun softens the residual bitumen, allowing the particles to knit together and harden under the weight of vehicle traffic. In Ontario, this product is highly valued for its ability to provide a firm, dust-free surface that mimics the durability of a paved road at a fraction of the cost.
