Firewood
Seasoned Firewood is high-quality timber that has been cut, split, and air-dried for a minimum of six to twelve months to reduce its internal moisture content to below 20%. In Ontario, this natural aging process is essential for producing "ready-to-burn" fuel. As the wood seasons, the bark begins to loosen and the ends develop characteristic "checking" or cracks, signaling that the sap and water have evaporated. This results in a log that is significantly lighter, easier to ignite, and capable of producing a clean, high-heat flame with minimal smoke and creosote buildup, ensuring a safe and efficient burning experience.
