Gabion Stone (Small)

Gabion Stone is a clean, oversized crushed limestone that is specifically sized to be larger than the mesh openings of wire gabion baskets, typically ranging from 3" to 5" (Small) or 4" to 8" (Large). Because these stones are "clear" (meaning they have no small fillers or dust), they allow for maximum water flow and natural drainage while providing massive structural weight. The angular shape of the limestone is crucial, as it allows the stones to interlock within the baskets, creating a heavy, flexible, and nearly indestructible gravity mass that resists shifting and erosion over time.
