Limestone Screenings

Limestone Screenings (also known as stone dust or "fines") are the byproduct of the stone crushing process, consisting of tiny, angular particles that range from a fine powder up to about 1/8" in size. Because these particles are so small and varied, they pack together incredibly tightly when moistened and compacted, creating a smooth, hard, and nearly water-impermeable surface. While it doesn't drain well on its own, its ability to "lock" into place makes it an excellent choice for creating a level, firm foundation for projects where shifting is not an option.
