Winter Sand

Winter Sand, often called Traction Sand or Abrasive Sand, is a coarse, gritty aggregate specifically washed and screened to provide immediate slip resistance on icy surfaces. Unlike fine play sands, winter sand features "sharp," angular grains that bite into ice and hard-packed snow, creating a safer environment for both foot and vehicle traffic. In Ontario, this product is an essential, eco-friendly alternative or supplement to chemical de-icers, as it provides physical traction without the corrosive side effects of salt, making it safer for concrete, pet paws, and surrounding vegetation.
